Welcome!

Thank you for visiting Your Next Hometown!

I fell in LOVE with my new hometown of Camas, WA and the Pacific North West as a whole. I felt compelled to create a site that would allow my visitors to gain an inside perspective into this community, what it’s all about, the real estate market and what my experiences have been.

The decision to move can be one that is met with excitement and/or hesitation. Usually it’s a mixture of both. Many times, you may question if you’re making the right choice. For most people, giving up what they “know” (even if they don’t like it) and moving for the “unknown” can be downright terrifying. Add in multiple family members who you’re hoping the move will be beneficial for and you could start to even feel paralyzed.

I’d like to tell you a little about my journey to the Pacific North West. The above paragraph explains me pretty well. As seasoned Realtor, I’ve helped hundreds of people move but yet I still felt the fear of moving my own family across a couple of states to a place I knew little about.

In California, I was established in my real estate career, the kids were acclimated in their schools and activities, we had countless extended family and friends nearby but my husband traveled about 70% of the year. With four kids, this wasn’t an ideal family dynamic.

We had often wished his travel time wasn’t so often, and then our wish came true! In 2017 my husband was hired to a new position, within his existing company, that would require much less travel. The only hitch was he would have to be able to commute to their headquarters in WA every day. This was a super great opportunity but a super long commute from Southern California! We decided that this move would be an opportunity for us to be a more untied family and he quickly began working his new position.

Our next big decision was WHERE we should live. Honestly, the way we chose this particular niche of the Pacific North West was based on two factors. The proximity to my husband’s workplace and a good school district. This landed us in Camas, WA, and I’m SO VERY GRATEFUL IT DID!

My hope is that this website becomes a resource to many. It is the website that I would have loved to have had when I moved here! All of the different information all in one place. And of course, if you’re needing a Realtor for all of your future plans, I will be more than happy to help.

I will take the stressfulness out of moving to Your Next Hometown AND your next real estate transaction!
